Dear Bite Me Team,
As disappointed as I am that someone posted this rough draft of Midnight Sun I don't believe that this is the last we'll hear of it. Stephenie has always treated her books like a second set of children and this violation must feel like a kidnapping. There's no way if someone kidnapped my children I'd send them to the park any time soon but I would have to eventually let them out of the house.
Of course Stephenie is upset and I'm sure that "rant" was posted in anger and disappointment but I have a sneaking suspicion that she'll eventually get back to it. Someone who's as attached to her characters as Stephenie probably won't just leave it there. By saying that she doesn't want fans to read the copy that is out right now it only makes me believe more that she'll eventually come back to the characters and project. It just might be a long while before the Cullens are let out to play again. Hopefully once she gets over the initial anger and frustration she'll be able to get back to writing. I'm sure the positive reviews about the leaked material will help that. I want to be able to sit down and read it all at once so I've only read the first two chapters but what I have read is amazing! I've read enough fanfiction to develop a talent for reading around rough work to pull out the good bits. Stephenie has my deepest sympathy and I hope that she'll take this time to relax and get back into a proper frame of mind, both for writing and her family. I'm sure none of us want to disappoint her with her fans even more.
I also feel bad for the person who leaked it, even if we don't get a confirmation they're obviously connected with Stephenie in some way. They've lost the trust and respect of a wonderful lady and will have to read the hatred of Twilight fans for years to come. If we do get confirmation, they'll be ruined. No speculation at that end on my part, though. I'd much rather allow poor Stephenie to go through the grieving process and get herself back into a proper mood. So don't be too harsh on her. She gave us something to tide us over and we should be really grateful for that. She could just be running around trying to take down all the illegal postings.

Thanks. I've been wondering if there are any other people who feel like me that others should stop whining about the whole thing and appreciate what she did give us.
The whole situation isn't Stephenie's fault and she's just trying to do what she feels is best for her. I'd much rather have a good Midnight Sun then something horribly written.
yeah i agree that i would rather have a good midnight sun, i mean it was crazy when she said that she was going to take a break from it, but i understand why she did it, if i was her i would be pissed too. So i am glad in a way that she did it.
