Summit announced today that Twilight will not be released on December 12th, but rather be moved back to the intentional HBP release of November 21!
Was this nice surprise due to the fact that HP6 was moved until July? YOU BET. What a slap in the face for WB. They soo deserve it. HP moving had NOTHING to do with Twilight, but Twilight moved to November just because HP was out of the way. That's what I gathered from reading the press reports.

OK,OK all that I am going to say about this is that I really don't think that moving Harry Potter had anything to do with Twilight. Like was said in the MTV article Twilight has a strong fan base, but Harry Potter's is bigger (which I am included in). If anything I really wish that everything stayed the same with the movie dates, but don't get me wrong I am glad about Twilight being moved up yet I really would rather both films come out when they were supposed to (I mean come on twice the fun right?). Oh well a girl can dream. Does anyone here think that because the reception to Breaking Dawn was not so great that it will affect the Twilight movie?? (I don't think so but thats just me)

Jennifer, i editted the post because i saw how it might be a bit misleading. you're absolutley right HP did not move because of twilight. it was moved to attract bigger audiences in the summer. but i think summit took the oppurtunity of this free weekend to put twilight in. i wish we had both though!
i dont think the movie will be affected by BD. i think people with grudges would have moved on by november?
now i dont think it will be fair comparing the income of both movies to see which was the most popular. HP is ibviously going to make more money than twilight purely because it was a summer release. i still think HP would have prevailed if the two movies were released on their intended dates
who cares about their final income, it's the Imdb rank that will matter in the end ^^

man oh man i am really happy that it is closer now, but i agree with the fact that i wish they would have just stayed with the original dates. I think that would have been better for everything. I don't know it's going to be interesting to see how they both do.
